He is also the lead rule of law expert for the German government funded multi-million euro programme to strengthen Ukraine's rule of law for EU accession . In this capacity he advises the Ukrainian government in its negotiations with the European Commission and trains Ukrainian judges, NGOs and Ombudsoffice staff.
