Film Festival - Masterclass with author Kim Thuy (1975-2025: Writing and Filming The Vietnamese Diaspora in North America)

As part of the third edition of the Princeton French Film Festival, you're invited to an intimate conversation with award-winning author Kim Thuy who will be in attendance to talk, in an informal way over dinner, about her autobiographical book Ru (2009), a touching story about Vietnamese refugees who left their country following the Vietnam war in the 1970s and beyond. Kim Thuy's book was sold into more than half a million copies and translated into 30 languages. This event will be followed by the screening of the cinematic adaptation of the book at McCosh 10 starting at 7:15 PM. More information on the link below.. . . .
