In celebration and preparation for Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), join us for an immersive, hands-on workshop led by guest artist Veronica Olivares Weber exploring the traditional Latin American folk art of nicho-making a vibrant, handcrafted shadow boxes used to honor and remember loved ones who have passed.
Participants will:
* Create a traditional handcrafted nicho - a small, decorative shadow box used in Mexican and Latin American culture to honor life and remember the departed.
* Learn about the cultural roots and symbolic elements of nichos through guided creation and storytelling.
No experience required and all materials provided. Open to all Princeton students, faculty, and staff.
