Maria Luiza Ribeiro Viotti, the ambassador of Brazil to the U.S. On September 13, Brazil LAB kicked off its fall programming with “United States-Brazil: 200 Years of Diplomatic Relations,” a two-day symposium. On September 13, Brazil LAB kicked off its fall programming with “United States-Brazil: 200 Years of Diplomatic Relations,” a two-day symposium. Maria Luiza Ribeiro Viotti, the ambassador of Brazil to the U.S. delivered the keynote address. 

The event also featured talks by Ambassador Adalnio Senna Ganem, Brazil’s consul general in New York, and Brian Winter, editor-in-chief of Americas Quarterly. Also in attendance were members of the Brazilian diplomatic corp, Princeton University scholars and other members of the academic community.
