Documentary by Azza Cohen ’16 acquired by The New Yorker
Cohen’s Stanford Documentary MFA thesis film titled “FLOAT!” was recently acquired by The New Yorker. The film is profiled and available for streaming on The New Yorker website.
While at Princeton, Cohen participated in Bridge Year India and spent a fall semester studying abroad at SOAS in London. Cohen also received a Mitchell Scholarship in Ireland and was named a Knight Hennessy Scholar at Stanford.
Cohen served as a Young Alumni Trustee (2016-2020) and was the recipient of several Princeton awards and prizes, including a Davis Peace Project prize for which she made a documentary film titled “Specks of Dust” about the director of the NGO (Guria) with which she collaborated while a Bridge Year participant in India. She currently serves as the videographer and video producer for Kamala Harris.
