Maria Ressa ’86 featured as part of Fulbright Alumni: Lasting Legacies

Maria Ressa '86 has been recently featured as part of the Fulbright Program's "Fulbright Alumni: Lasting Legacies" series which showcases stories of notable program alumni.

Ressa, the Nobel Peace Prize recipient in 2021, received a Fulbright U.S. Student Program award in 1986 to study toward a master's degree at the University of the Philippines Diliman. Her book “How to Stand Up to a Dictator: The Fight for Our Future,” was selected as the Class 2027 Pre-read.
