FRE 207F Aix & PIF
The department of French and Italian is pleased to announce that 207F and Princeton-in-France will be offered jointly and remotely during the summer of 2022, in collaboration with the International Internship Programs (IIP). FRE 207F will run from June 5th to July 2nd, 2022, followed by Princeton-in-France internships, from July 4th to July 29th, 2022. In 207F, students will have daily classes taught by Princeton faculty and will engage in cultural exploration through a series of exchanges with guest speakers from the Aix-en-Provence region. 207F will also include intercultural training in preparation for the internships. Students who have completed FRE 102-7, FRE 107, or FRE 108 and interested in pursuing a certificate or a concentration in French are invited to apply. Early application is strongly encouraged and begins on November 15th, 2021. Selection interviews will start in early January. The selection of participants will be announced by the end of January. Applications must be completed in the Global Program System (GPS) by the deadline of January 31st, 2021. Course fees will be announced through GPS shortly. Students on financial aid may apply to the Dean's Fund for Study Abroad to help cover the costs. Students selected will receive an award for the internship. However, participation in the additional 4-week internship program is not a requirement for FRE 207F, nor is an internship guaranteed.

Summer Study Abroad in Pisa
The Princeton in Pisa Summer Intensive Program offers students the opportunity to take a four-week Princeton course, ITA-207I, while in residence on the campus of the Scuola Normale Superiore (SNS) in Pisa, Italy. Located in one of the richest historical and intellectual environments of Italy, the SNS is a premier university with a long and distinguished tradition. The program offers a full immersion experience that will allow students to interact with the territory on a linguistic, cultural, and social level. The Princeton students will have lunch and dinner at the cafeteria of the Scuola and are provided access to the Scuola's library, computer clusters, dedicated Wi-Fi and all services provided to internal students. Students who have completed the language sequence and are motivated to deepen their engagement with Italian language and its cultural history are encouraged to apply. The course offered in Pisa is ITA-207I. The successful completion of the program will allow students the ability to enroll in upper division Italian courses. The 2022 program will take place from June 12th to July 8th, and the resident faculty member will be Dr. Anna Cellinese (Director, Italian Language Program).
